Artist's Comments

An image from my spring break trip to Big Bend National Park. The unusual formation on the horizon is called "Mule Ears" and the backpacker on the hill is my boyfriend, Andrew. We were lucky enough to zone camp in the area by a small oasis.

what sort of camera are you using? i know when i had a point and shoot there was really no control over what part of an image was in focus, you kind of had to stick with what the camera gave you. if you have an SLR though it's in your control :)

lol! I'm NO photographer! So I just have a little digital camera. I'll take lots of pictures in the summer of my horses. I get a lot of beautiful shots of chippy because mostly he like to pose for pictures and is a show off haha! But occasionally I'd like to get a picture of him in the foreground and the landscape looking like this, but alas I can't. I kinda figured it was just my technique.

When I take pictures of the horses eyes, they all crowed around me and look at me funny. I'm the only human in the barn that hangs out with them in the field for hours as is, then i do weird things with my toys. They can't figure me out, but they're pretty sure I'm a horse, cause why else would i spend hours in the field with them? Hehe.

i bet they enjoy the company. i have horses, too, and whenever they see me with a camera they crowd around so close i can't get away fast enough to take any good pictures!
